My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Listened to this on a long drive back from Missouri. Sometimes silly, but always amusing, I enjoyed it very much. The reader, Stephen Fry, not only mastered the unique and challenging voices of the characters, he was able to convey their personalities as well. Everyone should read this book, if only so they get all the references that are sure to come at them from time to time (and find out the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything). My personal favorite? “So long and thanks for all the fish.” I was reminded at times of one my childhood favorites “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” except in this case “Alice” is picked up by a space ship and the Mad-Hatter needs two hats. Looking forward to the discussion in our book club.
