Gripping, emotionally taut, complex moral dilemmas, brutal battles. Good character development. Sometimes the narrative drags a bit and gets a little too emotive, but overall the story is well-written and enjoyable to read. I recommend it for older teens (due to mature themes and graphic violence) and others who enjoy paranormal fantasy fiction.
