The perfect combination of practical devotional and probing spiritual questions, Knowing God Through the Year is one of the best devotionals I’ve used. It’s structured in such a way that the reader can pick it up at any point in the year and begin. Based on a popular Christian work by J. I. Packer, Knowing God, this devotional presents a bible verse, a short paragraph or two of spiritual insight, and a question or idea to ponder. Some short devotionals lack depth, but Knowing God, manages to dig deep in the time it takes to drink your morning coffee. It inspires the reader to think and meditate on its words throughout the day and guides the reader toward a closer relationship with God. I highly recommend it.
