The Boat and the Sea of Galilee is an intriguing and well-researched story. I enjoyed learning about the archeological processes and decade long battle to save this special boat. The photographs also documented the dig very well. However, the writing style really bogged me down. The writer indulged in metaphors and hyperbole to the extent that I felt I myself was on an archeological dig trying to get down to the actual story. She used dramatic license so much that I was annoyed most of the time that I was reading. The story was amazing. I didn’t need her constantly telling me how amazing it was. I would have preferred to experience it myself without her added drama.(Review copy provided by LibraryThing Early Reviewers courtesy of Kregel Publications)
