Book Review: The Sun Trail by Erin Hunter (Book One of new Warrior Cats series)

November 16, 2013 by Allie

My fourteen-year-old niece submitted the following review. Well done, Olivia!

The Sun Trail is a prequel to Warriors, Warriors: The New Prophecy, Warriors: Power Of The Three and Warriors: Omen Of The Stars. This book can be read by itself, but BE WARNED: It ends with a cliff hanger as all of her other books do!
Erin Hunter’s The Sun Trail is about a cat named Gray Wing and his unexpected journey to find a new home alongside his tribe mates, while encountering new animals and discovering that some things that they thought were not possible actually are possible.
The Sun Trail kept me on my toes trying to guess what would happen next especially during the particularly well-written battle scenes. This book was irresistible to read, and I couldn’t stop. It made me laugh and it made me cry, especially when my favorite character, Gray Wing, struggled with leaving everything he once knew behind.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend this book for pre and early teen readers.
