Recently, a teenager waved me over to the computer on which she was working and asked for my help in accessing her PowerPoint presentation. Thinking that she had never before created a PowerPoint, I was preparing to walk her through it. However, her problem was not what I expected. She opened up the PowerPoint program, and then asked me where hers was. Baffled, I asked what she had saved the document on, i.e. a floppy, a CD, or a flash drive. She gave me a blank look, and finally answered, “I saved it on the computer at school.”

Here’s a chance to reuse and modernize that old saying:
“If your head weren’t attached, you’d lose it.” In today’s techno world, the key is to ATTACH your documents to your person via floppy, CD, jump drive or even email. Just bridging the generations and showing that moms really did know best!
